As a wearable app development company we design digital products taking into account different wearable technology whether a smartmatch, smart ring, EEG headband or other. What’s important is finding the right balance between aesthetics and functionality.
Building the perfect companion app for your product is paramount for its success. Our team of experts build engaging and user-friendly mobile and web apps that pair perfectly with your product. We can develop the right solution whether you need iOS or android wearable app development.
Wearable technology refers to electronic devices that can be worn as accessories, embedded in clothing, or implanted in the body. These are hands-free devices that are powered by microprocessors. They are capable of sending and gathering data via the Internet.
Wearable technology is based on sensors and small computers. The sensors are in most cases attached to a wearable device, which allows it to monitor various activities. A great deal of these sensors can track things such as heart activity, movement, and brain and muscle activity. Some wearables also have small computers in them, similar to smartphones. What they do is help the devices interact with other nearby objects. A few industries where wearable technology is prominent are: healthcare, fitness, and wellness.
Developing and integrating apps with an EEG headband that is used by Formula 1 drivers and US Olympic weightlifters to enhance their focus skills
BrainCo first engaged with us as a tech partner to expand their development team. As the company juggled several projects, they needed a tech partner who was experienced in both iOS development and integrating wearables like their FocusCalm Headband. After our first collaboration together they started building the FocusCalm app which, paired with the FocusCalm Headband, provides users with an extensive set of programs consisting of guided meditations, games, exercises, and expert content to uncover new ways to calm their minds.
Since then, we've been collaborating with BrainCo to build games for the FocusCalm app. At first they were simple games built on Flutter, but later we moved on to more complex ones. This was possible by leveraging the Unity framework to build more engaging games that have advanced graphics and mechanics, which we integrated into the main FocusCalm app. It's exciting to see this combination of frameworks and technologies working together: a wearable connected via bluetooth to an iOS and Android app built with Flutter, and controlling gameplay in a Unity-based game that runs seamlessly inside the app.
Helping improve CPR outcomes with a
smart-watch enabled resuscitation platform
As CPR training remains inconvenient, costly, and ineffective, Relay Response wanted to leverage mobile technology to cause real change. They had this idea of a wearable technology that connects to cloud-based software and helps rescuers improve the effectiveness of their CPR efforts. The client was working on developing their software platform when they hit a stumbling block with Apple's ecosystem that forced them to seek help. The client envisioned their forward-thinking product and needed a solution to overcome a roadblock they stumbled across.
Our team worked to assess the client's situation, and together we decided that moving to Google's Wear OS was the way to go. This platform offered a more flexible and customizable environment better suited to the client's needs. Collaboratively we built a transformative smartwatch-enabled resuscitation platform that is leading the way in helping medical teams save more lives by improving their CPR quality.

When most people think of wearables they only think of smartwatches. There are actually various different types of wearable technology currently available.
As part of our wearable app development services we cater to all of these different types of devices.
This is our specialty. Healthcare wearable app development is where a lot of our expertise lies and where we feel we make a difference. A great example is sensor devices, either wearable or implanted in the skin, that are worn to remotely monitor and transmit key health parameters in real time such as oxygen levels, physical movement, fall detection, blood pressure, and many more.
There’s been a steady increase of wearables in the wellness space. They have extraordinary use and are able to measure things such as body movement and electrical activity in the case of EEG headbands. They can also help with things such as anxiety or stress by applying vibrations.
The fitness industry is a major driver of the wearables market. Fitness trackers, also referred to as activity trackers, provide data about a user's physical activity and help them achieve their fitness goals. They can be used to monitor and track fitness related metrics such as distance, Vo2 max, calories burned, heart rate, among others.
Wrist-worn devices offer a convenient way to make calls, listen to music, send texts and emails, and access to various applications.
High tech glasses present functionalities such as taking pictures, listening to music, talking on the phone, augmented reality, among others. They can also support wireless technologies like Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi.

These are some of the most common questions we’ve encountered when it comes to wearable apps development. If you have a question about our services maybe you'll find the answer here.
The cost depends on many factors such as the technology, experience, and/or features required for your project. What we offer is a weekly rate per resource assigned to your specific project. Even though we don’t work on a fixed price basis we can offer cost estimates that are educated guesses based on our experience. We can schedule an intro call and can provide a close estimate based on the information you can provide us with about what your needs are.
There are a few different challenges that a wearable app development company faces. For instance those related to data security and privacy, since wearables are meant to be continuously connected to the internet and they transfer data from one device to the other this means an increased risk of security breaches. Another challenge is one pertaining to the UX/UI and battery usage, an app that is designed for a wearable device should both look attractive on said wearable devices and function smoothly without draining the battery. Multi-platform support is another big thing, wearable apps should be compatible with multiple platforms but it’s not always possible to develop a wearable app and have it seamlessly run on multiple platforms.
Yes, we offer wearable app development services that are compatible with multiple platforms such as iOS, Android, and cross-platform. Our expertise lies in integrating various types of wearables, IoT and custom hardware devices using technologies such as bluetooth, NFC, wifi, RFID, and others.
Our expertise is what makes us great at wearable app development. We have over 8 years of experience and have worked with wearables ranging from an EEG headband to developing smartwatch apps. We take on complex projects and since our expertise lies in custom software development we have vast experience designing, creating, deploying and maintaining software and can adapt to your needs.
Since wearables are designed to monitor things such as workouts, activity progress, sleep cycles, meditation sessions, as well as different health parameters they involve many different features. It’s a matter of narrowing down the purpose for your product and adding the necessary features. Things to keep in mind are: friendly user interface, tailored notifications, gps services, data security.
We cover custom software development ranging from mobile app development to web development. In mobile development we work with both the iOS and Android ecosystems natively with the use of Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS, as well as developing cross-platform apps using Flutter and React Native.
In web development our experience lies in using React, Ruby on Rails and Node.js.
