Our collaboration resulted in the development of three different applications aimed to help people by taking into account their own unique DNA data. The first app was named Per Cup and it was developed to check for genetic variants that have been shown to be connected with several different aspects of caffeine response. Later came SlumberType, which is the world’s first sleep app to be DNA-based, it allows people to learn how DNA influences their sleeping habits and gain insights about how those results likely impact other aspects of their life. The last one, ​​GenoTonez we built as a fun proof of concept that used information contained in DNA paired with AI algorithms to build music.

The client was on their way to building their solution when they came across a major roadblock in the iOS ecosystem that forced them to rethink things. We teamed up to closely assess the situation and together reached the decision that moving to Google’s Wear OS was the way to go. By switching to a more flexible and customizable environment we found it easier to start building the solution that the client needed.
